ABOUT ECOMGRID
ecomgrid is a commercial connectivity service and website launched in March 2012, operated and privately owned by a company with the same name. As of March 2012, Ecomgrid has more than 10,000 listed organizations and users.
All users must register before using the site, after which they may create a personal account, organizations and products profile and exchange messages, including automatic notifications and information feeds. We generally refer to people, organizations and products who are the building blocks of the commercial environment as Nodes on The Grid.
The Grid enables people and organizations to create networks by indicating their specific relations to each other. Network relations on ecomgrid has a wide variety of applications from simple indication of supplier to advanced ordering and catalog collaboration.
B2B networks on ecomgrid are handled with similar simplicity to social networks on Facebook and its participants can interact, share business information and commercial applications just like people are sharing pictures and conversation threads on their favorite social network.
When fully deployed, the service will facility the entire business process between organizations (B2B) and will also offer important features for the B2C and C2B relations.
The Web site's membership was initially limited to Bulgaria, where the service was beta-launched but is currently expanding to other territories. It is gradually adding support as more users and companies join, create profiles and networks.
